We hope everyone attending the fete enjoys the day. We have put several measures in place to ensure the safety and health of all present. Please be mindful of the important information below.
Village Square: The Village Square needs to be kept clear of vehicles, therefore there will be no parking in the village square after 9pm on Friday, 23rd August until Sunday 25th August.
Parking: All visitors are reminded to park legally and ensure vehicles do not hinder pavement use or cause obstruction on the roads.
Bouncy Castles & Field Games: The participation in any field games is entirely at your own risk. Any children using a bouncy castle must be always supervised by a parent or nominated responsible adult. The bouncy castle supervisors are there to ensure the safety of the equipment, not the safety of children's actions.
Personal Belongings: You are responsible for the security of any belongings you bring and for ensuring you do not create a hazard for others. Please do not leave any belongings in the area after the fete ends, the area will not be secure.
Lost and Found: The radio station gazebo on the field and radio station studio (cabin) adjacent to the field is where you should report any items or persons lost and found.
First Aid: The radio station gazebo on the field and radio station studio (cabin) adjacent to the field is where you should report to if first aid is required.
Noise: We have a licence to provide live music until the fete closes. We hope the community enjoys the fantastic live acts performing during the evening, and we advise residents who are not attending to expect some noise. Once the fete closes, we ask everyone to be respectful to residents and leave the area quietly.
Barbecues: Barbecues are permitted and those using them will solely be responsible for the safety of others nearby. DISPOSABLE BARBECUES ARE NOT PERMITTED.
Lighting: It will be dark in the evening on the main field and lighting will be limited. Please ensure you take care and use a torch to move around. Some lighting may be used at this event that may be disruptive to people who are sensitive to light or not safe for those with epilepsy.
Rubbish: Please take ALL rubbish home with you. Do not leave anything on the field for others to clear up.
Allergies: Ensure you confirm any dietary requirements directly with any vendor you may be purchasing food or drink from.
Dogs: Dogs are welcome but must always be kept on a lead.
Alcohol: We are sure many will relax throughout the day whilst enjoying alcohol. Please drink responsibly.
Children: You are responsible for your children and should be always aware of their location. There will be limited movement of vehicles throughout the day and evening in the field and square.
Equipment: Some items available at the event may contain small parts and could present a hazard if swallowed, especially for children aged five and under. Never provide, or allow, young children, or vulnerable persons, to handle such objects.
Bikes and Scooters: No bikes, cycles, scooters, skateboards, skates, roller blades, hoverboards, etc. are permitted in the field or square during the day of the fete.
If anyone disregards the above measures in place to ensure the safety of all attending, or exhibits anti-social behaviour, they will be asked to leave the site immediately.
